Among the many different types of metals that exist, seven stand out as the most widely used in the
industry. Each possesses unique properties that make them indispensable for various technical and
security applications.
Steel
Steel is one of the most used metals today. It is an iron and carbon alloy, achieving great
hardness and maximum elasticity. This favors industrial work, allowing customized solutions
in railings, grates, and security elements.
There is also stainless steel (with chromium), which offers high corrosion resistance,
ideal for humid environments.
Aluminum
Notable for its lightness and strength without compromising elasticity. Since it is non-toxic, it is
used in food packaging (cans, bottles) and in profiles for doors and windows.
Chromium
Metal of high hardness and corrosion resistance. It is used in alloys to improve surface finish and
increase the durability of parts.
Iron
It is the most used metallic material in the industry given its great physical capacity. Fundamental
in construction structures, tools, and enclosures.
Copper
Notable for its high electrical and thermal conductivity. It is the material of choice for cables,
electronics, radiators, and heaters.
Nickel
Adds hardness and corrosion resistance in alloys. Highly valued for its magnetic permeability in
shields and in the manufacture of coins.
Magnesium
Used to improve the properties of other metals. Ferro magnesium is key in the manufacture of
special steel for high-resistance safes.
